IP Configuration

You will be asked for the: Subnet and Netmask IPs for each Network (Management, Signaling and Billing), some DNS and NTP fields and for the Default Router, Domain Name and Cluster Name (NMC Configuration).

Field Dependencies

As you change the Subnet and the Netmask fields all values related with IP’s of each network are changed accordingly. If you want to give different values to any of these fields, you can do it on the Expert Mode.

IP Configuration 1/3

Subnet Sharing:

Choose between Mgmt-Billing-Singnaling-Separated(numberOfInterfaces: 3) Mgmt-Billing-Shared(numberOfInterfaces:2) and Mgmt-Billing-Signaling-Shared (numberOfInterfaces: 1)

Share Cluster with Mgmt:

Select it when want to enable cluster to share the same network with admin

Default Router Node 1: The machine that will route packets not currently addressed by the configured interfaces. You must be able to route to that address.
Note: In node separation scenario, Default Router Node 2 IP address field will also be displayed.

Management Network

Subnet Node 1: The subnet to be used by the admin interface.

Netmask Node 1: The subnet to be used by the admin interface.

Node 1 Admin Gateway: The gateway to be used by the admin interface.

MTU Admin: The MTU to be used by the admin interface(default:1500).

Note: In node separation scenario, Subnet and Netmask Node 2 IP address fields will also be displayed.

Signaling Network

Subnet Node 1: The subnet to be used by the signaling interface.

Netmask Node 1: The Netmask to be used by the signaling interface.

Node 1 Signaling Gateway: The gateway to be used by the signaling interface.

MTU Signaling: The MTU to be used by the signaling interface(default:1500).

Note: In node separation scenario, Subnet and Netmask Node 2 IP address fields will also be displayed.

Billing Network

Subnet Node 1: The subnet to be used by the billing interface.

Netmask Node 1: The Netmask to be used by the billing interface.

Node 1 Billing Gateway: The gateway to be used by the billing interface.

MTU Billing: The MTU to be used by the billing interface(default:1500).

Note: In node separation scenario, Subnet and Netmask Node 2 IP address fields will also be displayed.

ClGroup

Network Node 1: The subnet to be used by the cluster.

Netmask Node 1: The Netmask to be used by the cluster.

MTU X-Channel: The MTU to be used by the cluster(default:1500).

Note: In node separation scenario, Subnet and Netmask Node 2 IP address fields will also be displayed.

IP Configuration 2/3

Assistant/CMP: IP address of Assistant/CMP.

DNS Configuration

Name Server IP 1: IP address of DNS name server.

Name Server IP 2: IP address of secondary DNS name server.

Name Server IP 3: IP address of third DNS name server

Domain Name: The domain that this hiQ8000 is part of.

Search Domain 1: Name of primary search domain for DNS.

Search Domain 2-6: Name of the second up to the sixth search domain for DNS.

NTP Configuration

Server 1: Name (IP address) of network NTP Server.

Server 2: Secondary NTP Server.

IP Configuration 3/3

Cluster Name: The name to be given to the cluster.
